Christmas wines, part 1

The Morgon was part of the contraband case. The Montus was part of a in bond case. The later is still not ready. I shall leave the remainder for at least a couple of years if possible. Perhaps it was just the contrast with the Morgon but the tannins felt furry and somewhat ragged. The Morgon itself was much thinner than I'd expected, agreeable though.

Gascony

Brumont Merlot-Tannant blend.

Plently of body and fruit. Fairly smooth despite the presence of young Tannant. Could see this being a good allrounder that goes with plenty of food types. I was impressed. Very hard to get in the UK but www.wineandco.com sell it at £5.50 p/b if you buy at least 6. Otherwise a couple of UK independents have it at £7-8 which is far less attrictive I guess.

Watched the wrong game. CSKA vs United was pretty drab. Would have been better to stick with the Madrid game. They were humbled at home by a struggling Milan side. First time we've seen Pato show his class in the CL.
